I’ve never been to Qatar. I don’t know much about the place, aside from what I’ve read, and most of what I’m reading isn’t good. Personally, I don’t have anything to say about Qatar but if I did, it wouldn’t be good. Again, just to be perfectly clear… if I had any reason to write anything about Qatar, it wouldn’t be in any way supportive of that awful little country. It’s a wretched place. If I saw a Qatari puppy, I’d kick it.
In other news, a number of Middle Eastern nations have suspended all diplomatic and trade ties with the rogue nation, including cessation of all travel by road, sea and air, effective immediately. This is due to Qatar’s reported sponsorship of terrorist organisations, including those backed by Iran.
In other, other news, it was reported on June 7 that residents of the United Arab Emirates who in any way promote sympathy online to the nation of Qatar, its people or puppies (I presume) are now guilty of cyber crime and face penalties of between three and fifteen years in prison or a minimum of 500,000 dirhams (US$136,000) in fines.
From the United Arab Emirates this is Peninsularity, saying Peace and Love, Brothers and Sisters… except to Qataris of course. They suck.
By the way, that giant orange dildo over there in Doha (the Doha Dildo?) looks almost like an office building! (I’m not the first person who’s noticed)… that’s not at all complementary, I’m pretty sure.
